As you probably know, we are studying some basic concepts about Geography in Social Sciences. Apart from working on both Hemispheres and the Equator on the world map, we are paying particular attention to the map of Spain. Last week, we did an activity related to this and the results were slightly messy. So I decided to post my own map in order to clear things up so that you can figure out what we are studying and exactly what I want the children to know: Spain and its borders, Portugal in the west and France in the North East; the Mediterranean Sea in the East, the Bay of Biscay in the North and the Atlantic Ocean in the North and South West.

Algunos comentarios a modo de critica constructiva sobre el mapa utilizado:
ResponderEliminar- El mapa muestra una distribución antigua de las Comunidades Autónomas. Aunque ya sé que la finalidad no es aprender las mismas puede inducir a confusión.
- ¿Que ocurre con el Mar Cantábrico?
- Las Ciudades Autónomas de Ceuta y Melilla también son España.
- Hace tiempo que se descartarón a nivel educativo los mapas que mostraban las islas canarias en un recuadro a la derecha de España. Esto induciá subjetivamente a creer que las islas estaban en dicha localización y no en la que realmente se encuentran.
Parece mentira pero aun aún hoy navegando por internet cuesta encontrar mapas mudos de España con el suficiente rigor y calidad esperado.
